1. Introduction

Etsy takes its responsibilities under applicable privacy laws and regulations ("Privacy Laws") seriously and is committed to respecting the privacy of our Etsy website and mobile application (the "Platform") (we refer to the Platform and the services we provide on the Platform collectively as the "Services"). Users are those who register an account with us to use the Services, including buyers and sellers (individually and collectively, "User," "you," or "your"). 2. When does Etsy collect personal data?

2.1 We will/may collect your personal data in the following circumstances:

• When you register for and/or use our services or platform, or when you open an account with us;

• When you submit any form, including but not limited to an application form or other form related to any of our products and services, whether submitted online or via a physical form;

• When you sign any agreement or provide other documents or information related to your interaction with us, or when you use our products and services;

• When you authorize the sharing of information on your device with our applications or platform;

• When you connect your Etsy account with your social media or other external accounts, or use other social media features in accordance with the provider's policies;

• When you conduct transactions through our services;

• When you provide us with feedback or complaints.

The above is not exhaustive, but lists some common situations in which your personal data may be collected.

3. What personal information is collected about shoppers?

3.1 Personal information that Etsy may collect includes, but is not limited to:

• Name;

• Email address;

• Date of birth;

• Billing and/or shipping address;

• Bank account and payment information;

• Phone number;

• Gender;

• Information sent through or associated with the device used to access our services or platform;

• Information about your network and the people and accounts you interact with;

• Photographs, audio, or video recordings;

• Government-issued identification or other information we require for due diligence, knowing your customer, identity verification, or fraud prevention;

• Marketing and communication data, such as your preferences in receiving marketing from us and third parties, your communication preferences, and your communication history with us, our service providers, and other third parties;

• Usage and transaction data, including details of your searches, orders, advertisements, and interactions on the platform, as well as details of other products and services relevant to you;

• Location data;

• Any other information obtained when a user registers to use our services or platform and while the user is using the services or platform, as well as information about how the user uses our services or platform;

• Aggregated data on user engagement with content.

3.2 You agree not to submit any inaccurate or misleading information to us and agree to notify us of any inaccuracies or changes to such information. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to request further documentation to verify the information you provide.

3.3 If you register as a user of our Platform using your social media account ("Social Media Account"), link your Etsy account to your Social Media Account, or use any Etsy social media features, we may access the information you voluntarily provide to your Social Media Account provider and, subject to the policies of such provider, we will manage and use any such personal data in accordance with this Policy.

3.4 If you do not wish us to collect the aforementioned information/personal data, you may opt out at any time by notifying our Data Protection Officer in writing. For more information on opting out, please see the "How Can I Withdraw Your Consent, Delete, Request Access to, or Modify the Information You Provided to Us?" section below. However, please note that opting out or withdrawing your consent for our collection, use, or processing of your personal data may affect your use of the Services and Platform. For example, opting out of location information collection will disable its location-based features.

4. Collection of Other Data

4.1 Like most websites and mobile applications, your device sends information, which may include data about you logged by web servers when you browse our Platform. This typically includes, but is not limited to, your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address, computer/mobile device operating system and browser type, mobile device type, mobile device characteristics, unique device identifier (UDID) or mobile equipment identifier (MEID), the website address that referred your mobile device (if any), the pages you visited on our websites and mobile applications and the time of your visit. Sometimes, "cookies" (which you can disable using your browser preferences) are also collected to help the website remember your last visit. If you are logged in, this information will be associated with your personal account.

4.2 Our mobile applications may use GPS, Wi-Fi, and other technologies to collect accurate information about your mobile device's location. We collect, use, disclose, and/or process this information for one or more purposes, including, but not limited to, obtaining location information you request, providing you with relevant content based on your location, allowing you to share your location information with other users, and as part of our mobile application services. For most mobile devices, you can revoke our permission to access your location information through your device settings. 4.3 When you view pages on our websites or mobile apps, when you view content and ads on our platform or through the Services, and when you access other software, much of the same information is sent to us (including, but not limited to, your IP address, operating system, etc.); however, instead of page view information, your device will send us information about the content, ads, and/or software installed on the Services and Platform, and when.

5. Cookies

5.1 We or our authorized service providers and advertising partners may, from time to time, use "cookies" or other features that allow us or third parties to collect or share information about your use of our Services or Platform. These features help us improve our Platform and the Services we offer, help us offer new services and features, and/or enable us and our advertising partners to provide you with more relevant content, including through remarketing. "Cookies" are identifiers stored on your computer or mobile device that record data about how and when your computer or device, Services or Platform are used or accessed, the number of people on our Platform, and other activities. We may associate cookie information with personal data. Cookies also associate information about the items you choose to purchase and the web pages you browse. This information is used to track your shopping cart, deliver content specific to your interests, enable our third-party advertising partners to place advertisements on websites across the internet, and conduct data analysis and monitor service usage.

6. How do we use the information you provide to us?

6.1 You acknowledge, consent, and agree that Etsy may access, preserve, and disclose your account information and content if required by law or by a court or any government or regulatory body with jurisdiction over Etsy. You believe such access, preservation, or disclosure is reasonably necessary to:

• (a) comply with legal process;

• (b) comply with any governmental or regulatory request with jurisdiction over Etsy;

• (c) enforce Etsy's Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy;

• (d) respond to any threatened or actual claim against Etsy, or other claim that any Content violates the rights of a third party;

• (e) respond to your customer service requests; or

• (f) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Etsy, its users, and/or the public.

6.2 Because the purposes for which we will/may collect, use, disclose, or process your personal data depend on the circumstances, such purposes may not be listed above. However, we will notify you of such additional purposes after obtaining your consent, unless privacy laws permit the processing of applicable data without your consent.

7. How does Etsy protect and retain customer information?

7.1 We implement various security measures and strive to ensure the security of your personal data on our systems. Users' personal data is stored behind secure networks and is accessible only to a limited number of employees who have special access rights to such systems. However, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

7.2 We will retain personal data in accordance with the Privacy Act and/or other applicable laws. In other words, we will destroy or anonymize your personal data when we reasonably determine that (i) retention of such personal data is no longer sufficient to fulfill the purposes for which the personal data was collected; (ii) retention is no longer necessary for any legal or business purpose; and (iii) there is no other legitimate interest in further retaining such personal data.

8. Does Etsy disclose information collected from visitors to external parties?

8.1 In conducting our business, we will/may need to use, process, disclose, and/or transfer your personal data to our third-party service providers, agents, and/or our affiliates or related companies, and/or other third parties, who may be located within or outside of Singapore, for one or more of the purposes listed above.

8.2 We may share user information, including statistical and demographic information about our users and information about their use of the Services, with advertising partners and third-party providers of advertising, remarketing, and/or other programs.

8.3 For the avoidance of doubt, if privacy laws or other applicable laws permit organizations like us to collect, use, or disclose your personal data without your consent, such permission granted by law shall continue to apply.

8.4 Personal data transmitted to or contained on the Website may be unlawfully intercepted or accessed by third parties, technology may malfunction or fail to work as intended, or someone may access, abuse, or misuse that information through no fault of ours.

8.5 Etsy allows you to share videos from YouTube ("YouTube Content") within the Etsy live streaming feature. To do this, Etsy uses the YouTube API service provided by YouTube. By using shared YouTube Content, you agree to be bound by the Google Privacy Policy
